Welcome to my final Homeschool Review Crew review for this year! Wow, time flies when you're reviewing fantastic homeschool products! This last one is a fun and somewhat whimsical product that is great for all ages.Do any of you remember the bookstores that had a section with frameable prints that had any and every name, along with its meaning? I loved those, but they seemed to disappear at one point. As it turns out, they didn't disappear! CrossTimber is an online company that will customize all kinds of wonderful gifts with the name(s) of your choice. They graciously allowed our family to choose 5 Name Bookmarks as well as one set of personalized AmazingName Print Activity Sheets to use and review.
CrossTimber is a family owned business owned and operated by John Dehnart and helped by his family. They provide a wide variety of personalized gifts, including the products I listed above, as well as mugs, plaques, and music boxes. Each of these provides the selected name and its meaning, origin, and a Bible verse.
When deciding what name gift to order from the website, you will choose from the blue bar menu at the top of the page. They will walk you through all of the steps to create the gift that you want. There are a myriad of design choices available. The difficult part is choosing which theme to use!
When it came down to choosing our bookmark designs, I first had to decide who would get an extra bookmark, since there are 4 of us in our immediate family, and we were allowed 5 bookmarks. I quickly decided that as lovely as they are, my husband probably wouldn't use one. So, I chose one for myself, and two each for my daughters, using their given names, and their nicknames.
Did I mention the available choices for designs? There are so many pretty options! I'm telling you, when you order, set aside a good block of time just to browse!
For my design, I chose a pretty Fall tree nature scene.
For my daughters' first bookmark design, I used their full names, and selected musical notes, as they are both musicians.
For my daughters' second design, I used their nicknames, and went with animal themes. My oldest received a cute ladybug design, and my youngest a pretty butterfly design. Whew! The hard part of deciding was over!
We received our order in a timely manner. I was pleased with the finished product. They are made with a cardstock type of paper, with a glossy finish on the front. I will say, that these will bend and begin to look beat up quickly if you don't treat them gently. Plastic would of course be more sturdy. I'm going to cover them with laminating sheets so we can enjoy them longer. I might also add a ribbon at the top. But overall, I'm pleased with our bookmarks.
Now, the AmazingName Print Activity Sheets are a great gift option, particularly for the younger children in your life, although my 15 year old enjoyed them too. This set is a great way to help littles learn to recognize and print their name through 25 different activity pages. Your child's name will be featured over 80 times through:-Mazes-Word searches-Coloring pages-Handwriting pages

My teen loves to doodle and color adult coloring books and such, and she thought these were fun. There are more difficult mazes and word searches too that are included, so she did have a challenge here and there.
This set would make a sweet gift too. I know who we'll be ordering a few sets for this Christmas. Aside from holidays, wouldn't these be a perfect activity for long car trips, morning basket time, and quiet times?
I definitely recommend this company, and their products to anyone looking for a meaningful gift. If I had any suggestions, it would be to streamline the website a bit, to make finding what you want a little easier. There is so much on the website, which is beautiful, but it can be overwhelming when first trying to find what you're looking for.
