CSB"s Illustrator's Notetaking Bible Large Print Edition - Review

This Bible was a lovely surprise from the moment that I took it out of its packaging. If you are a Bible believing Christian, you know that the beauty of any Bible is found within the pages of it, no matter what the style or appearance of the binding. This edition though, really is so pretty. It's cream-colored leather touch cover invites you to open it up.

I was also pleased to see that it is a large print version, a feature that I initially missed, but one that my aging eyes really appreciate!

You'll notice that the description calls it a notetaking Bible. Inside throughout the pages are pretty illustrations that include various verses in the margins. They are black and white but are designed to be colored if you like. It looks nice either way. If you are creative and artsy, you'll enjoy adding some color, literally, to your Bible studies.

You'll also find your favorite helps in this edition, be it colored maps, topical subject headings, concordance, a one-year Bible reading plan, and much more. 

It arrives packaged well in a sturdy, decorative, and most importantly, decorative sleeve, ready for you to dive right in, or to gift to your favorite someone. 

The CSB in the title stands for Christian Standard Bible, a version known to be a highly reliable text, while also being easy to read.

I loved part one of The Last Supper. The creators of this series continue to offer compelling episodes that bring the Bible to life. While the show does take creative liberties throughout the series, it stays true to the Word of God and doesn't alter Scripture. 

It offers viewers possible perspectives from various biblical figures. My family and I feel that it has opened up thoughtful dialogue with friends and family.

While we read the Bible knowing what the outcome was surrounding the last supper, and the death and resurrection of Jesus, His followers didn't. What were they thinking throughout that turbulent time? Did they understand what was to come? Were they afraid? What did their faith look like? 

I find that the show enhances my Bible study, and again, while the show takes liberties, it inspires me to dig deeper into Scripture with a renewed spark.
