Deuteronomy 6:6-7

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. ~ Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Gratitude Challenge November 4, 2011

I know I'm not alone when I tell you that these days, finances are tight. In addition to groceries, gas, and all of the usual expenses, we've had a few costly auto repairs and vet bills to deal with. And it has really made this lady discouraged.

But this is supposed to be a post about gratitude, right? Well, it sure is. Because the Lord has been gracious to us in this, more gracious than we deserve , I'm sure. Through a series of events, we discovered that it would in fact be possible to make all of these expenses, and even have a little financial breathing room. So we thanked God for that blessing.

But it hasn't stopped there. He went over and above that provision, as He often does. (I'm crying as I type this) I posted last time about the mistake that the repair guy made when replacing our windshield, resulting in a more lengthy repair- this time in the shop for 3 days. Well, not only will we pick the car up today, the auto repair shop has waived the deductible, meaning, we pay nothing! It was no small amount either.

God is very gracious, and His timing is so very sweet for me, as I've struggled in my faith this week. So I'm thankful. For a God who sees us. He knows our need. And He provides.
