Hey there, and Happy May to all of you! I've got a great review for you today! Over the past couple of weeks, I've had the privilege of perusing through the Encountering God Study Bible  brought to us by The Blackabys. I'll begin with the highlights.

This Encountering God Study Bible is the crowning work of the Blackabys. They have a reputation of providing a trusted approach to Bible study. Their study includes:

- Notes highlighting how God might choose to encounter you in His Word.

- Notes explaining ideas, events, people and places in the text

- Word studies, character studies, and biographical sketches of figures from church history

- Notes to help you navigate current cultural issues

I'm guessing that this black, leather-soft covered Bible will quickly become a favorite of yours as you take it to church, Bible study, and of course, read it at home for your personal devotions.

It includes two different ribbon bookmarks to mark your places.

I love the frequent "Encounter Notes" that provide mini thoughts or devotions throughout the pages, as well as the "Word Study" boxes that do just that, highlight a word from the text, and offer further comment and study.

I also really like the size of this Bible . With dimensions of  "6.84" x "1.53" x "9.82", it's the perfect size. Not too huge, and definitely not too small. It's a comfortable study and carrying size. All in all, this is a lovely choice if you're looking for yourself or a gift. Click the links for additional information!
