Deuteronomy 6:6-7

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. ~ Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in
exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I
compensated in any other way.

Welcome to 2020, and a brand new Homeschool Review Crew year! We're starting out with a fantastic resource that any and every homeschooling family can use. SchoolhouseTeachers.com is the educational dream that you've been waiting for. They offer the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership, which our family has been using, reviewing, and loving. Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or whatever your favorite drink is, and let me tell you about it.

The website is laid out beautifully, and easy to navigate.

I tell you the truth when I say that every homeschooling family will find something on this site for their studies. There are options for students in PreK, and on up to 12th grade. Great, you may say, but what exactly is SchoolhouseTeachers.com ? Simply put, it's homeschool curriculum, with a Christian perspective. But you know what? That's too simplistic, because it's actually so much more. There is a huge amount of amazing material on this site, with new options being added frequently. This is a sampling of what the site provides:

- Hundreds of classes for PreK-12
- Full Year Courses
- Semester Courses
- Unit Studies
- Lesson Plans
- Attendance Tracker
- Report Card Generator
- Literacy Center
- College and Career Planning
- Print Copy of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, mailed quarterly
- Private Members Only Forum
- High School Credit and Transcript Support
- Portfolio Builder

That doesn't cover it all. I've been using this site for years, and I'm continually uncovering new resources. I can get lost in the many features. It would probably be faster to tell you what you won't find here:

- Common Core
- Textbooks
- Per child fees

Did you catch that middle one? No textbooks! Everything that is required for a given class is there, with no additional book needed. When you purchase a membership, the entire family is covered, with no additional fees.
Classes are flexible, as they are self paced. Don't stress about making it to the computer at a certain time, or risk missing your time slot. Pre-recorded videos make it easy to schedule classes when it works for your family. Lessons may be downloaded and printed, or used online.
You might be a seasoned homeschooler, comfortable in putting together your student's coursework. In that case, you might prefer to pick and choose from the course selections. Then again, you might be brand new to homeschooling, and looking for all the help you can find. In that case, follow the scope and sequence that will guide you in what to teach your child, and when.

New homeschoolers or those considering the option, can have their questions answered on site too.

Extra resources provide helpful things like menu planning.

Choose classes on your own, or see courses by grade.

The World Book Online Resource Library will give you access to a series of online books that are separated by category and/or grade. It is included in the membership price, you will only need to log into this feature with the given instructions, and you'll be ready to read. Likewise, the Video Library which yes, is also included in the membership price, provides access to over 450 wholesome videos. Lately, I've seen more and more homeschooling parents popping up on forums to ask about better options for streaming companies. With the content available, you may decide to ditch the others, and make this one your choice.

Course overview for French 1.

See the lessons for the year of French 1 at a glance. Click and download.

A look at a beginning French lesson.

French 1 also provides audio instruction .

There is so much that I love about this site. We have used many Electives options from their offerings. My teens have an interest in languages, so this year, we've been using the French course, and it's great! This is text and audio based. You can download and print the lessons, as well as the audio. It's great for grades 1-12, and you can print a certificate of completion when you have completed the course.

There are plenty of planners, including this one for High Schoolers.

There is even a parent section, where you can take a class or unit study.

I've also made great use of the planners. I love these so much because you can pick and choose what features you want to include, and customize it. They allow you to personalize them on the computer, or you can leave them blank if you prefer to write in your info the old fashioned way. There are planners for parents and teens, and they offer a selection of calendars, articles, Bible info, handwriting pages, a household section to track bills, chores, and other personal info. I don't think they've left anything out.

This is an amazing site, and resource for homeschooling families. There are various options regarding membership, so you can pay once, yearly, or choose a monthly subscription. If you have questions, the customer service is stellar, and you only have to click on the "How may we help you?" icon near the bottom of the site's page, and they'll sort you out.
Right now, until the end of January, you can take advantage of their Fresh Start sale. You'll get a yearly membership for $99 by entering the code ONLY99 at checkout. Or, get a monthly membership for $12/month by using the code ONLY12 at checkout. Visit them today, and give it a go.
